life, here it is
Me, i just have way too much to think about...life, how i should live it, why should i live life in that direction? why are we alive? what is being alive really about? how come we live with direction from those around us, and not directly from some divine force or being that billions praise? its unfair how we are expected to be divine when so few can in such a corrupt world. forgive thy neighbor...why can't everyone do just that? why is it easier to want something or to fall in love with someone attractive opposed to someone unattractive? its unfair...that's all that life is. 1 man 2007 years ago forgave all and loved all, for no reason. all just because it was what he believed in. and so many follow that belief, not because its right, but because there is a punishment system involved. As i mentioned before, why are we here? What is consciousness? What is it to be alive- to love, to hate, to enjoy toys and electronics and things that make us feel good? I can't put into words how i feel, because i know none that can express my feelings. I would have to create so many different words to express 1 thought. How come i am me? Why are you not me? Why am i not you? Is it fate? Fortune? Luck? What is fate? does fate exist? I'm just not sure anymore...i need to go take a shower and then sleep. G'night.

The meaning of life is to give life meaning.

If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

Life is about having fun, and crossing the pearly gates with a smile. If you don't enjoy what you have, then your screwed.

Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
Read: The Problem of Pain, A Grief Observed, The Great Divorce, Mere Christianity and Surprised by Joy. They give a very compelling set of ideas about God, our relation to him and the meaning of our existence.

The point of life isn't to arrive to heaven in one piece, but rather to arrive sliding in sideways, shouting "Holy sh*t! What a f*cking ride!!!"

Deep conversations like this make me think about this movie.

I am not a religious man by any means, but it's hard to avoid biblical scenarios in todays society. There are so many different types of belief systems in our world today that is impossible to say that one is better or worse than the other. It is also impossible to ask (I'm not reffering to your post, but in general) "what is the meaning of life?" More or less becuase you will get millions of responses from millions of people, all who will have different answers for you. That in itself answers your question- you have to figure it out for yourself, just like everyone else thinks they have. I say "thinks they have" because everyone has an opinion, generated by thought, not by fact. Some will try to support their thoughts with facts, but that usually ends with an arguement or a war, Two extremes, but both have happened again and again. A friend of mine who is Jewish, but not practicing, went to Israel to study abroad for a semester. One of his Professors happened to be a Rabi. My friend was well educated as far as theology and could hold his own in their religious debates. They would spend hours outside of the classroom debating fact, fiction, man, god, war, everything. He would spend hours looking for the perfect retort to prove the Rabi wrong. This went on for an entire semester. On his last day getting ready to go back to the states, the Rabi approached him and asked if he would be interested in living there while studying to become a Rabi. My friend was shocked. "Why me?" my friend asked. "Because you question god." Replied the Rabi. The Rabi then explained that regardless of religious belief or who you choose to follow, you will learn nothing without question, and a life without question is not living at all.
In danger of being called a hippy, the meaning to life is love. To find love, be loved, and to love. Doesn't matter if its a person, a hobby, or even your job. Do what you love and be good to others; everything will turn out alright.
Yes, that is Ackbar. Yes, it does mean what you think.
I wonder if ants have airsoft guns, and if their ant girlfriends get mad when they buy more stuff for their arisoft guns, and if they have to lie when they go to airsoft extreme and visit Chris and Travis and spend money on things they don't need but they want and have to have. Good point on the love thing though. It does sound a bit dirty hippy for my taste, but I guess love is a factor in everything. If you didn't love it, you wouldn't have made it (whatever it is you love) a part of your life. Is the guy still alive who first started this thread? Has anyone called him?
