I am Army National Guard. Been in for a year now i signed up 3 months after my 18th birthday. There are all kinds of different scenarios you can look at for going into the National Guard let alone a lot of good money available as well. As for joining the National Guard before you are 18, there are ways, i can tell you if you are interested. I can also help you plan out your best course of action for you situation, most money available, and best education plan (if you are going to college). Go ahead and PM me and we can swap numbers and i can help you out. I know anybody and everybody in the CA National Guard so i can quite possibly be your best source of information or where to get it.
Thanks alot bro!I will pm you.

I am an active duty Marine. Just so you know Marines and Army are very different. You CAN go in before 18, but your parents have to both OK it first. I love the Marines, and It works for me so far.
Be like Chesty Puller and Marine the hell up!
I'm an Army Reserve Drill Sergeant (prior service Active Duty too). A couple differences between Army Reserves(AR) and National Guard (NG) is that the AR is only combat service support and combat support MOS's while the NG has those same MOS's and combat arms MOS's. Another difference is that the NG is controlled by the State so the Governor can call up the NG for riots, natural disasters, etc.
well your title has nothing to do with your question ;). Army ROTC is NOT the Army Reserve though you can do both at the same time. ROTC is, as i'm sure you know, Reserve Officer Training Corps and is completely different from JROTC you have in High School. ROTC is college is basicly OCS spread out over 4 years (MS I, MS II, MS III, and MS IV) while you go to school with the big difference in that you do not go to basic training unless you are prior enlisted OR contract with the ROTC program and enlist into the reserves as an SMP (Simultaneous Membership Program) cadet. Then you can go to basic if you want and have time but you can't be SMP until you have completed the MS I and MS II year or equivalent.
