Red dot/Reflex sigts

Jan 5, 2008 9:53am
I got one of these reflex sights with my M1A, put it on but it's not accurate. Does it need calibration or is it crap? There are like 3 knobs on it on to turn it on the other two do not do anything. I just use the sights works every time, but i like the idea of the reflex sight. How do i make it work for me? Thanks in Advance.

there are hundreds of red dots/reflex sights on the market. What brand and type do you have, is critical.

well you have to zero in your dot. but the make and model will definitely help in our advice for you.

It could just be for looks. Before I got the gun I have now I had a TSD and to be honest it shot like garbage. The site I had on mine was a red dot that came with the gun and the adjustment knobs on the side were strictly aesthetic.

I see. But on the contrary the gun works fine for me. It only started acting up the i F'ed with the Hop up. Other than that its pretty consistent. Say the knobs did work how am i supposed to adjust them? Along the sight? Using up,down, left to right?

Good. I wasn't trying to dis your gun in any way, mine I bought from a wierd store, and from a guy who didn't know what he was talking about. Then I went to Airsoft Extreme and they solved all of my problems. I sound like a fawking commercial. If the gun shoots accurately, great, if the red dot sight is off, try adjusting the knob. You can do it slow or you can go from one extreme to the next to see if you get an extreme response. If you dont see a change chances are its non adjustable. Like everyone else is saying, if you had a red dot site that was a specific make and model it would a lot easier for everyone to diagnos the problem.

Well if the sight is functional. You are to sit somewhere stable. Shoot the gun, turn the knob to adjust the dot (up, down, left, right). Repeat until the bb goes where the dot is. Good luck.

Any one have any experience with either of these sights or the brands? I was thinking of going with the second one. Not because of price but it looks easier to look into.
