Im about to buy my first airsoft gun and wanted an ak-47. Ive been checking different forums and came to the conclusion that the TM is the best but then i read that the JG tactical is a completely identical gun well, internally. and its half the price. What do you guys think?

Its a low quality knock-off. There is a reason its half the price.

OK. so i know that Hong Kong stuff is not as cool, but the JG AK is a great starter gun. I have had mine for about 6 months or so (pretty much when they were newer to the market). I have shot somewhere around 8000 rounds based on bags of bb's that are no longer in my garage. During this time, no jams, no problems. Even the hi cap mag has worked flawlessly. the gun shoots hard, has a nice hop up and is pretty accurate. the battery lasts forever and the gun is super solid. my first gun was a plactic ech1 mp5. it shot great, but i broke the case playing too hard, this is not an issue with the AK being all metal (accept for buttstock, pistol grip and foregrip). this is also an evil looking weapon which is an added bonus.

Well if accuracy is the only issue wouldnt it stilll be cheaper for em to just get a Deep Fire Barrel 6.04 AK47

You'll need a scope mount to be able to mount a red dot sight.

Ill keep my eye out for somone getting rid of their TM but just money wise i kinda have to go with the JG right now if im planning on playing soon.

One of the guys above said he had his for like 7 months and hasent had any problems. idk how often he used it tho.

Its totally up to you. Ive seen how well JG guns perform. They shoot. How long they last IS the question. I'm sure they'll last you a while if you keep them stock and treat them with care.

so being the guy whos says the jg is cool, i have has it 6 mos or so. it has been with me in 6 battles in addition to thousands of backyard plinking shots. also i use .25's when i play and have had no issues. they are the green invisable bb's so i can't speak to their complete accuracy as again they are invisable. however, by the cries of pain from my opponents it appears they shoot in a fairly accurate group and hard.

if you dont want something that its plastic shell will break buy an ICS full metal gun.

How often do TM plastic AK's break I wonder.....

i wonder..... hmm well if they get dropped to much they probibly will shatter.
