So what would you guys say is a better "gas" side arm brand.

WAs are essentially preupgraded guns. And they're extremely pretty.

Here's a little Brett background - When it comes to gas guns I know VERY little. I really have no idea what upgrades are available.

Western arms Pistols are beautiful guns, they look and feel amazing and it will cost you some money but when you are done upgrading them they look and feel and shoot awesome(but expensive). I have a Western arms Infinity And a MARSOC and I love them both, I don't really skirmish to heavily with my infinity because I put a lot of money into it and because it is my baby and the MARSOC works great but with the single stack mags you don't get that many powerful shots because they hold less gas, but if you are a good shot then that shouldn't matter.

I have two WA and a TM Sig. One of the WA i just got and its never leaving the house for a skirmish, ya pointless i know and a complete waste of money but its a legit collectors item if you're into that sort of thing. The other WA is the one i use when i play... only because i have a Safariland for it and i like carrying something no one else has around here. It cycles hard and fast but doesn't have the best range. My TM Sig has by far the best range but is a bit sluggish at the moment with the cold air and the full metal kit thats on it. WA mags are notoriously problematic and i do a complete lube before each time i go out to prevent leaks

here's my take. Some of it may have been said by others, Rcas, etc.

TM GBB's does what its supposed to best. Shoot BBs! The New Generation GBB's by far owns other GBB brands out on the field. The biggest and best thing about the TM GBB pistols is range and consistency. You can go toe to toe with someone with a TM M4 that uses those 30 round star mags. Range is just THAT impressive. The more popular 1911 and G17 series from TM only shoots about 280-300 FPS.

Western arms, to be honest, are a waste of money. I've used both before, (never owned a WA though) The only real reason WA are 100+ more than Tm is because they look nice. And as you can see most people who have a WA refuse to use them because they are expensive, and are Damn good looking. Just get a tm, because when you drop it, the big scratch make it look rugged, When you drop a western arms, AND YOU LOOK LIKE A CLUMSY DORK

Oh and just try comparing a WA 1911 and a TM, TM KICKS wa 9 times out of 10, just in being reliable :D

one thing i've noticed.... and maybe its just me or just the slide i have but Shooters design metal slides are very light and cycle quick. I have one on my WA TLE/RL II and it cycles really fast compared to the G&P slide on the metal kit of my Sig. Sig has good weight but its a heavy slide. If someone else can chime in about their SD slide and confirm its light as well i'd say get one as an upgrade.

I have OWNED both WA and Marui M9's and they have never been upgraded except for a fullauto kit on one of the marui's

I am talking about the two brands in an upgraded sense. I upgrade all my guns as some of you know on SacAir so it's not use talking about it stock.

Couldn't you always get a smaller recoil spring?

In general, japanese made guns (stock) perform extremely well. No need to tinker around with them. The come with what they have because the guns are designed to be used with what the company recommends.

This is true, very true. Stock guns kick ass.
