the cheapest m16 drum mag i know of is at airsoftextreme.com for like $65 ( go to the site, click acessories, then high cap mags and scroll way down). sorry but honestly mags can get up there.in airsoft money can be spent so fast!

TOP drums are low quality. they break and malfunction easily. i've never seen a TOP mag work very well. jams here, misfeeds there. better to get something like mosquito molds.

i would suggest lining the inside of ur drum with something sound absorbant. running with a drum mag in ur gun sounds like u've got a bunch of maracas tied to ur waist.

Ok here is the problem with the top drum mags for the M4: They dont feed well and no amount of lube will fix the problem. I took mine apart and the problem is in the design (the MP5's and AK are dif) When you take it apart you will see instead of a tube to feed the bb's they use a spring. It is not a streat shot and the spring has to bend and that is where it jams. I fixed the problem by removing the mag part and moving it forward on the drum then drilling new holes and re sizing the bottom of the mag to fit the drum. Works great but doesn't look as good. I'm still working on that
