I'd say it would depend on how well you take care of it, if you just hold the trigger down on fullauto, never clean it, drop it a lot, submerge it under water, drive over it with a car, throw firecrackers at it, try to chop down a tree with it,

It will be fine, when you start upgrading it, you might see more wear and tear on the gun. But that is pretty much like any gun you will come across.

ICS M4 has been having a few problems.... Check the internet, its full of forum reviews. Most problems occur when upgraded to 380+fps.

thanks guys, but after about 10000 shots will alot of the internals need to be replaced? And I've heard that the stock inner barrel isn't very good. Is this true?

Thanx guys. I was thinking about getting this gun for my first AEG, and now I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it. I was thinking about getting the TM M4A1, but with the barrel wobble and ICS's innovation, I wanted the ICS

The biggest thing that you will want to do to the gun, even if you keep it stock is to replace the bushings with metal ones. The stock ones are Teflon, and will eventually fail, but if you replace them within the first month or so you shouldn't have any problem. Plus when you replace the bushings it would be a good idea to get the box shimmed.

what does it mean to have the gearbox or gears shimmed? :?:
Oct 24, 2004 3:34am
you put in little metal washers for lack of a better term, so that the gears no longer have any play in them (or at least very little play). This gives your gears a much longer life, than if you did not shim them.
