Bodybuilding
Finally, an area I can confidently comment on. Don't listen to the guy above me. Creatine is not bad for you, nor is most of the supplements people will try and steer you away from. Like anything, creatine is only dangerous in continual use. You didn't really go into detail about what are you trying to accomplish/gain by working out. I ask because certain requests call for certain exercises and muscle stimulation. 20lbs is a tad on the high side, but it's not unhealthy or abnormal. Whey protein is good, if you can afford it stick with "celltech", or "6 star" is a not to expensive brand. I would recommend taking glutamine as a daily supplement. When supplemented, it will help you reduce the amount of muscle deterioration that occurs. Basically, it will retain muscle while you burn fat, even while your sleeping. Combine that with a protein shake 2-3 times a day, and HYDRATE all the time. Especially if you take creatine. HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE. If you want to know more let me know. You didn't specify your workout /body type, what are you trying to do? Big arms? Six pack? (there not real)
aaaahhhhhhhhhhgh!
Ok, lets just leave it at this:
Body Building is some serious business, I've been doing it for 7 months now, but there hasn't been any real mass gain, any input is encouraged. Mostly toned...flat belly currently...
I am a 33! Be proud of what you are...

FDA regulates supplements obviously because it's legally sold in stores throughout the USA and if it wasn't approved by the FDA then pretty much wouldn't make it to store shelves. Steroids are illegal for a reason because they are dangerous to the user in most cases. Supplements when taken the way they are supposed to help your body for instance I take fish oil gelcaps to help with my back and neck. I also drink whey protein because our bodies need protein and it helps when you work out regularely like I do. Macres imho is completely correct, "el natural" way may be for some but just because it is for you does not mean that it's for everybody else. Don't try and breed false ideas in people to make things go the way you want them to be. Also imho there is a reason people live longer then they did 1000 years ago. It's because of modern medicine and the fact that supplements are available to people to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Play nice....
I shoot Table Gypsies on sight!
Cmon guys, are you really gonna start a flame war because one person prefers to use the natural, holistic method while another prefers a different method? Whatever makes you happy and gives you the results you want, do it.
i don't really have a stance on supplements. i know that i take a joint supolement call glucosamine (sp?) because i am a runner and i am right now a bit overweight and taking that is saving my knees.

Ok, both of you stop it. FDA "regulates" the products by simply saying "OK, it can go on the shelf."
Truce. And yes, we are all meatheads.
