New Member (input welcome)
Ok so I've been checking out this forum and watching videos, shopping for guns, reading reviews, etc for a couple of months and I want in. I really like the community and how helpful everyone seems to be. So I look forward to getting out there and joining you guys in a little fun.
Don't shoot the new guy!!!
I agree but if you do get a sportline change the motor its horrible.

I heard about the motor problems on that gun. I have no idea how to change the motor or even where to get an upgrade right now.

In this hobby you get what you pay for 99% of the time. It is not to say that Echo 1 is a brand to stay away from like the plague. It is however not an advisable route to go down if you have the means to pay for something more.

So its worth and extra $100 for:

if your going to save up for that you might as well do the beginner package, that will set you up with a battery and bb's as well as the weapon and charger

God save us everyone will be burning inside the fires of a thousand suns.
also, i think it might be worth your while to check the for sale forums to see what might be on the market.
You might also want to look into the private sellers forum. If someone bought one of those and upgraded to a TM or CA, you might be able to get it for cheaper :)
yes either check out used guns, most of the time you can deal to get a battery with it.

aaaahhhhhhhhhhgh!
also what you can do is: if you have any friends who are experienced with AEGs, you can buy a used gun package (with battery, charger, accessories) for much less than retail and have them clean it up for you

If I were you I would go with either a CA SPORTLINE, or a CA M15A4 CQB, I have one and love it
CA Sportline is an intriguing starter package that CA put together. It too is too early to state whether or not it's worth the price tag they are offering it at. The biggest concern for me is the Aluminum inner barrel. Once the coating goes everyone will notice a major decrease in performance.

Yea I just started seriously considering an CA M15A4 RIS w/ 9.6v 1200mah PEQ Box. Saw it at AEX today for $349.00. I will go ahead and check out the used section but thankfully for me I know what I want.
