I just heard on the radio that Heath Ledger died today/last night from a drug overdose. Weird. I wonder if the new Batman will be affected?

Only 28.

Filming is done, so the movie shouldn't be affected. Although sequels obviously will. I didn't hear drug overdose, I heard there was just a bottle of pills found laying next to the body.

Yeah, I just read that he died at Mark-Kate Olsen's apartment, supposidely it was from an overdose of diphenhydramine (Sleeping pills). That's just strange.

yes he was found with sleeping pills, how ever no cuase of death since hte autopsy isnt till tom everything else is speculation

Who cares if bums or drug addicts die? Seriously, what's there to be sad about? I don't car either way about Heath Ledger, but he did something with his life. Sorry, but I worked in the ER for a long time and it was sickening to know people on a first name basis who would OD, attempt suicide (attempt being the key word), and just not give two sh*ts about their existence. Not to mention UCD med is a county hospital, so there are your tax dollars hard at work. There were a lot of people who should have just killed themselves the first time, and not wasted our money, energy, and time. All of those things not being thing to waste at one of the largest trauma centers on the west coast.

The drug diphenhydramine (most commonly used as a sleep aid) has a very high addiction rate in the US. If taken in mass quantities it can simulate a feeling similar that MDME (ecstasy) provides its users. Drugs like "Ambien" have similar effects and are very popular because you can get them over the counter.

diphenhydramine is benadryl...like the same stuff you use for allergies. who the fuck would want to get high off of benadryl...
