Jan 28, 2008 8:13pm
I am looking for M4 collapsible style stock for an M249. I know they make them for real steel. If any one knows where I can find this stock real steel or not please let me know!

Looks like it can be done, but iam not as crafty as others. If any one has any ideas on what to start with that would help. Just need to find a way to attach a m4 tube!

when you say that i knew exactly what you meant, i don't even need to see the picture. i think you should just wait for the airsoft verison of it. the real steel would be too much.

I asked my cousin who is currently in Tikrit about these and he told me they are very limited. But as everything else I'm sure it won't be too long before it gets copied to the airsoft world.

don't know how well tig/mig welding will work with crappy pot metal. You may have to secure it with a bolt and nut too.

I meant, how could a lathe really help in a project like this. If anything, you'd need a mill to flatten the rear of the stock for mounting up a buffer tube flat.

I would make my own custom buffer tube then mill the rest of the parts. IO forgot to mention the lathe had a nice 25inch mill on the top half...I miss that thing. lol

Do you think I can use the G&P RAS for my CA 249P? I want to put a fore grip on it. What would be the most affordable way to do this?
