AEG not feeding right on full auto

Nov 9, 2004 1:44am
My G36 shoots fine every time on semi, but when I switch to full auto, BBs only come out about about every other cycle, and sometimes not at all. Doesn't seem to be the mag, because two highcaps and a standard all behave the same way. It does this even when the hop-up is completely dialled down.

could be a number of things, shims is one, but not likely, try looking at the timing on the gears. make sure they are timed correctly. could be other things, but cant really think of anything else right now off the top of my head.

Check to see if your nozzle is correctly attached to your tappet plate. It probably isnt so it is not able to push a bb into the chamber after every shot.

hey, it sound like the gear timing is off, i had this happen to a friend of mines gun. i took it apart and set the timing right and its working great now. o, i dont think it could be the shims btw, there pretty unrelated to the timing or the tappet assembly so im not really sure were viper was going with that but maybe he knows something i dont (not bloody likely)
how poor am i??? im so poor that if steam boats were a dime apiece all i could do is run up the river bank saying aint that cheep.

hmm shims can cause a number of problems, mis-feeds, or more likely double feeding, also can cause the gears to lock up, throw timing off, and can cause the loss of gears (striped). trust me fetus i know what to trouble shoot, i think i have worked on more AEGs than you.

wow, cmon really viper will shims do all that??? i dont think so, at least not without way more going wrong lol. i mean if your gears are locking up then your def gonna be hearing some serously bad sounds comin from the mechbox i dont think misfiring is the only thing that youde notice. normally when mechboxes are shimmed to tightly they sieze up and wont fire at all, even if only one gear is shimmed to tightly(the sector gear for example) im def calling bs on your advice. sorry but i doubt youve worked on more guns than me. o and ray wt. . . what do u mean if its shimmed to tightly the selectore plate will bind on the mechbox or the sectore gear??? that makes absolutely zero sense. ok heres what you should do take a look at an open gear box, think about what u just posted and start feeling dumb

sup viper, im 19 why? hey mr. r im not saying i know everything im just defending a point i made by pointing out the fallacies in the arguments of my refuters. you know what? yes i have worked on a lot of guns, and yes i am very knoledgable about troubleshooting but i never claimed to know everything.

I've been into airsoft for about 18 years as of today. I've probably worked on more airsoft guns than everyone on this board combined.

Nope. No 12 year-olds in here.

I decided to expand on gearbox tech, for the experts on here, I'm sure you already know this. For those who don't know this, pay attention.

my head is going to explode... i still say check your nozzle to see if it is attached to the tappet plate. The guy who origionally posted this (i forgot who too lazy to check) is probably sitting in front of his comp reading this thinking... "ok.. so whats wrong with my gun?" with absolutely nothing accomplished with this thread. hehehe that would be so funny but i'm sure thats not the case.. but i say check the nozzle!

Without actually opening up the gearbox, it's almost impossible to exactly pinpoint the problem. But if I were to take a guess?

Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
