I have a KWC G17 glock. It is made of ABS plastic and has a plastic tip that seems to be glued into the end. Can anyone help me get this out? What is the best way of doing this without hurting the gun? I would like to not damage the orange tip so i can glue it back in if i decide to. I was hoping it was painted on so i could just scratch it off but its glued >.< lol. Any insight and help is appreciated. Thanks.
I could but I would much rather remove it somehow. I know people do, I just don't know how. I just wanna be able to remove it without damaging anything.
No guarantees, but I've had luck with shocking the superglue bond by dipping the tip in boiling water for a few seconds. The thermal expansion of dissimilar materials, combined with the fact that cyano HATES water, and you should be able to pop it loose.
The reason I want it off is so it will look real, I want to fool my brother and girlfriend into thinking it is for a short time and see their reactions. I agree that it is no stupider than a helmet, but at the same time helmets don't always look cool either. If I do want to leave the house with it, I would like to be able to put the tip back on, that's why I asked about being able to do it without damaging anything :). I appreciate the response and will try that, but any other suggestions are more than welcome. Thank you very much.
im very aggrivated lol, I tried to put the orange tip in hot water and still it wouldnt budge. I tried to screw it off with plyers, wouldnt move, also tried to pull with the plyers... nothing. Anyone else have any other ideas? Incase it makes a difference its a KWC G17 ABS (Plastic) blowback version from redwolf for 48 bucks. thanks.
