Wasn't sure if I should post this or not, but since someone else posted about it in another thread.

And this is the same city where people are protesting the removal of a couple of trees even though they will be replanting them and a few more in a different location.

Sigh, I love the Bay Area. I just can't stand the politics down here. It's hard to be a conservative down here.

that makes me sick...
"Remember Jimmy Mackaway on the yard used to say, If you wanna be making moves on the street, have no attachments, have nothing in your life you cannot walk out on in 30 seconds flat in you spot the heat around the corner..."

It is very hard. Though I must say I'm lucky to be around gun-toting bird shooting deer killing folks :)

Looks like a bunch of old hippies trying to relive the golden days. Protest all you want, but the blocking the door thing is BS.

heh, someone read the story i posted. luckily the government grabbed em by the family jewels and said if you dont cut the crap, we cut funding.
I don't carry a gun to scare people.

The government needs to go back to the brute squad methods. I figure if they crack enough Berkley eggheads I may yet get some of my social security money in the end. The baby boomer's and their hedonistic ideology cause me angst.

don't kid yourself. Berekely is not one of the greatest colleges in America. It has a short history compared to the real greats and is still and foreve will be mired by the incompetence that is the UC Regents.

Being ranked high alone doesn't make it a great college overall. Berkeley lacks the history and traditions of the true greats. And therefore cannot be considered one of the greats.UC Davis has a highly ranked Vet college and UCLA is renowned for it's medical and film college too.

Well it does have a pretty long history in business. It's the 3rd oldest business college in the country with a long list of notable alums. I'm not sure about the rest of the colleges at Cal. But its business school is solid.

Fight them back, in a nonviolent way. Baracade them in the doorway. Nothing more funny that a hippie who is protesting in the dark. Or starving...
Feb 12, 2008 7:11am
exactly, berkley is just too damn liberal...what happened to "i'll kick your ass if you talk shit about my country," everyone is afraid that we'll offend somebody else. we're giving up to be the nice guy to people who will destroy this country
Feb 12, 2008 7:11am
Let me put it this way....

i wouldn't be surprised if there were a few drum circles forming soon ;). UC Berkley seems to put out ALOT of crazy wacko liberals. Then again so does UC Davis...gotta be the professors. Its sad when higher education boils down to class content being composed of the professors opinion based on his/her FEELINGS and not on fact theory or history. That goes for both sides.
Feb 12, 2008 7:19am
I so agree. It also depends on the students in the class. I found that it is mostly Wacko Liberals who tend to overly voice their opinions in class and when unopposed by someone of opposite thinking they are free to spat on anything and everything in the college classroom.
Feb 12, 2008 7:21am
I hear you Freq. I think we're talking about different things lol. History and traditions vs. receiving a great education. :)
Feb 12, 2008 7:25am
yep. I've been offered a chance plenty. Just I don't feel like sitting in a rice field in the dead of winter where other hunters could've possibly relieved themselves.

that video pretty much just pissed me off. So people have the right to protest but cant the police make them leave for loitering or something? Thats really disappointing on the part of the police.

for a nominal fee of course.

Feb 12, 2008 7:48am
even with the fee, can they legally barricade the door? I agree its protest and all, but it cant be right to bar a person entrance to an office due to your beliefs.
Feb 12, 2008 7:49am
nope that would be a fire hazard
