I thinking of picking up a Jeep wrangler for cheep and was wondering if there is any thing I should look for when I go check it out.

4 banger + 33s? He regear?

if you can find a 6 banger but 4 banger are good on gas.

Not sure what the gear ratio is.

4.0 inline 6 ftw

You dont use the stock tranny when you do a v8 swap.

I was not asking about swaps I was wondering if there is any big issues with the jeep its self I should look for before I buy.

make sure to check if the e brake works. they have a history of... messing up if you wanna say that but yeah, i did research on them, my dad got a 95 wrangler. it runs nice but he had to fix the ebrake. you can always google em i know there was other stuff but i dont think anything too serious other than that (last thing you need is to be chasing it down the street lol). goodluck with the purchase.

I had a '91 with a 4 banger and loved it 250K miles worth.

are their lockers on the front hubs for the 4 wheel drive, if so look for leaks, check bushings, find out if it had a lift, if so how big, what tipe, what kinda shocks, are the shocks in good condition, lood around the oil pan for extensive amounts of oil, and/or leaks, test drive the jeep first, and drive in in 4 wheel drive
