$2300 is more than enough to make an able computer and have it shipped out to you, especially now with quad cores and the 8800gt. Shoot, you could do a Q6600 or Q6700, 4 gigs of memory, 500GB HDD, AND 2 8800GT in SLI for a little less than that.
just wait till the quad core stuff comes and get a custom one form like Dell XPS line up. Thats what im waiting to do. Even then can it still run Crysis??
with the software right now, nothing really uses all four cores at it's maximum potential. But it's still nice to have nonetheless.
ya you will need to eait for the 64 bit version of windows to really use the quad stuff. BTW is that out yet?
always build your own machine because it will save you more money and u will get exactly what you want.

i'll find out if that runs on the rig i'm about to sell. made it to run bf2142 on the highest settings. Runs UNreal tounrament 3 at high settings FLAWLESSLY
