whoa whoa wait... so if the montana constitution was written on the agreed standard meaning of the 2nd amendment... then isn't that proof that the framers had individual rights in mind when they wrote the 2nd amendment?

All joking aside this is a very interesting point. For a nation to break a contract with a state would raise interesting questions.
If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

The U.S. Constitution has Supremacy over any and all State Laws. So if the Supreme Court says the 2nd amendment is wrong and it is changed then their State Law changes and there is nothing they can do about it.

I say let them leave the union. In the long run it could make our country stronger and better. Would wake up a lot of people to what we all tend to take for granted and or completely disregard because of time.

who said there would be a civil war? I seriously doubt there would be a civil war. There will be a lot of cable/radio trash talking. A lot of protests and backroom talks.
