CA36C vs. CA Sportline

Feb 28, 2008 2:29am
Okay so after a bit of looking I have came down to these two decisions. Now I need your help. Which would be a better gun? I know the difference in price but would that really make the Sportsline worth it?

if you don;t mind a little pain save yourself some money and get glasses instead of a mask. they are a lot cheaper.

I can't get the glasses because I already have to wear prescription glasses. The mask is the only thing that feels comfortable.

Had both both really prefere 36c, As far as I know the sportline is less quality(although great starter). The 36c already has many rails and the way that the mags connect arent too shabby as well. With the sportline you have to get a metal body if you want to attach rails safely. The internals are better on the 36c as well i think

I guessed the Sportsline would be of lesser quality but I was thinking it might be able to at least stand up to a better gun.

My son had the longer version G36 and had fire selector problems. Not a fatal issue, but still kind of a nagging hassle. I assume all the CA36 series have the same potential issue...

Well the G36 is completely ambidextrous. Definately a better feel to the weapon. Irons are alot better too, meaning you don't need a HWS. Rails are good for vertical foregrips and taclights or other accesories. You get more for your money with a G36.

its really just a matter of preference. if you want to talk about sheer reliability, then hands down, the g36. only reason: its a v3 gb and they are much more sturdy than the v2 gb.

I'm a fan of the CA G36, but for the price and what you'll be getting out of it. Go with your Sportline plan. Though I would suggest getting a extra battery instead of the reflex sight until your comfortable with the gun's iron sights ( after all, what happens when your reflex sight dies on the field?

Budget willing, the G36C will serve you better. Higher quality motor and more upgradeable.

Regardless which gun you go with, i would suggest looking elsewhere for the reflex sight. I shopped around a bit and found the same reflex sight that AEX has for $80 (same type and brand) for around $35.

I most likely won't be getting a reflex soon.

I like the feel of the CA G36 and have herd it was more lifelike due to it being made of fiberglass injected plastic.

I read somewhere that the CA G36s were made with fiber injected plastic.
