Alright, so it's been quite some time now, about 3-4 weeks, so I figured I could start to use some help since the police haven't gotten anywhere.

that sucks and you had some NICE rifles. Stupid post person they should have just brought it back to the post office and then you could've drove down and got it.

ya, that's what they're supposed to do. The apartment managers said they aren't supposed to leave packages because of that reason, but legally I can't do anything cause it wasn't insured, figures the one time I need something insured, and it was only delivery confirmation not signature so they didn't need anyone there.

If I'm not mistaken they are required to leave a note the first time asking if its alright that they leave the package behind. If you reply yes on the note and they see it next time they attempt then they just drop it off,if not they try usually three times before sending it back. You should probably contact you're shipper and see what there deal is.

I feel bad because the package was left on my door step while I was away. It was stupid. The regular post-woman said that her sub's sub delivered that day and screwed up it all up...so sad...

who did u send it threw, do u have a tracking number, if u sent it threw like UPS, FED EX, or DHL they should be able to track the package as long as u know the address where it was going to and from, and the date u sent it.

it was sent through USPS with delivery confirmation, it was delivered and stolen off of the front porch of darthdave's apartment. The retarded mail person left the package there even though no one answered the door.

Bummer man. I lived in an apartment last year and always made sure someone was home for deliveries. Thankfully I now live in a house in a very quiet neighborhood. Maybe keep an eye on craigslist? Good luck getting your stuff back.

ya, i filed a claim and was expecting to get money or have them pay for something, but they said they're not liable for any of it. I looked it up online and it says that if there is delivery confirmation they don't need a signature and can leave it at the door if it isn't insured, or is insured for less than 200. my package wasn't insured and just had delivery confirmation. so now im kinda stuck, legally, it appears as if they did nothing wrong, but common knowledge says otherwise

Yea thats bs. They should be paying for it on account that it's their fault it was put in that situation to be stolen in the first place. Bummer to hear that though.
