new airsoft site?
Thank you for the clarification, I am glad you are doing this place legit by having insurance and I am sure all the parents and guardians appreciate you doing this. I would post up the insurance number and such so parents could see this and have tis kind of info handy. It is what I want for this site too. Well this just proves that you will be a success! Too bad you did not want us to host games for you but it is all good. I understand why.

Make it simple. 18 and over only and must sign waivers. Case closed. Problem solved.

Good site, and good job of the forms
We have not needed insurance in my 4 years here. Why now all of the sudden? I understand the need to have it to play on private land to avoid potential lawsuits against the owner of the land. But insurance for what amounts to PICK UP games on BLM land? Thats not the Sacair I joined in late 2003. Sure there are more members now than back then, but what problems have came up that suddenly require us to be insured?

universal healthcare?

I too am intrigued by the need for insurance on public land.
Perhaps "need" isn't being properly conveyed here. Insurance is not required by law, regulation or anything else that would prohibit anyone/group to play, but it is a safety net.

The question remains. If sacair as an online commnity can it be held liable for actions/events on the field? Is there any precedence for that?

Someone posts up on CanyonRicer.net that they want to meet up with fellow car enthusiasts and do a "drive" through a local winding back road. Sometime during this a driver loses controls and wraps his car a round a tree.

ok how is this YOU WILL NOT HOST GAMES HERE. But everybody already knows that. Nobody but sacair admins can host games at sacair. So don't try to make it personal.
