Subject says it all. What would you recommend for the budget-minded airsofter? and do I need a 22-channel radio, or does a 14-channel one cover all airsoft applications? I'm looking at Motorola brand radios.
and whats all this crap I'm reading about GMRS licenses required??
I just have a cheap cobra radio. 22 Channels. You can get them with headsets off of ebay for around $8-40.00 brand new. You'll get 2 radios, 22 channels, scan feature, and charger, plus headset.
head over to frys ;) or prehaps ebay it, get a 2x pack for like 20-40 bucks at times.

Go to Costco. For about $50 or so, you get a total of 4 radios. They're all Motorola, two have sub-channels and two don't. It's a great value. Those are the ones that I bring up to Ord. They come with headset and accessory jacks.

Check out Radio Shack, Fry's or Big 5. Look for closesouts at those stores and you might get lucky and get a pretty good deal for one radio under $10.
