non-profit
ok I am trying to be more open so here is where I am looking at the non-profit info at.

here is some more info on the subject.

My business is also incorporated,(and it is not a NON Profit) and that took a lawyer and nearly a year to complete. Its not a fast process and it can be expensive.

It is the right thing to do. Why not just see what happens Johnny? You have nothing to lose. Like I told you in the pm, I hope you stick around for the ride because we could use your help.

it is a very long, and costly venture for sure. Alot of paperwork, drafts and criteria must be met in order to qualify.

Did you get a quote on the cost? It would b good to see from what I READ(which meas I do not know first hand) it was not much but there is alot of paperwork involved. I was going to the local cancer center and ask for some advice on where to look for help in the lawyer fees.

If my memory serves me correctly from a law class I took or something... the owner of a website can not be held liable for the actions or words of people who post on his/her website. Therefore if you (Poser) own and operate sacair but DO NOT ORGANIZE GAMES you are not liable if someone gets hurt.
dude when I was a part of the nonprofit chartering process that was like 10 years ago.

I hear you. I am going to the cancer center tomorrow and ask for help on getting info. Then grabbing the phone book and making calls.

The process takes aboy six months as I recall.
"The faster you finish the fight, the less kil't you'll get."
One of the main reasons for setting up a Non-profit is because the organization has funds coming in and going out.
THe man reason is to become a legit entity and give money to a cancer foundation. I want to put a positive face forward to the community and show that we are not a bunch of gun nuts. My hope one day is to cut a fat check to a cancer society with sacair's name on it. That is want I am working for. Alot of guys could care less about that. Status quo is good enough. Not for me and as I am finding out by all the pm's I am getting a lot of others too. To those that are helping out THANK YOU! To the others stick around you will be surprised.

Because we should be ashamed that our hobby emulates shooting people.

I told everyone about it when Dave bag was here last? I was talking to his brother Tom, John(cp), Bordin, Shawn at Whaetland. You didn't get the memo?
IMHO I don't see the benefits worth the $$$ and effort for an assumed liability.
I also was at that game, and hung out with all of those guys, and do not remember any of that. I would have voiced my issues then.

I look to see sacair not host ANY games. Just a forum where legit insured games can be posted. There are plenty of for profit enterprises willing to take the liability risk these days.
What the heck are you guys so afraid of? Why so negative. This is why I keep things to myself and only talk to a few because of the negativity. If you have some constructive criticism then say it. This is a good thing. We can get organized and help out the community. Why do we have to do it? You don't there is no need for you to do anything. Just kick back and enjoy the sunshine. You DO NOT HAVE TO PAY OR DO ANYTHING! Their are others that are willing to help out and get it done. If we fail again what do you have lose?

i agree with otis. If this is YOUR thing and no other admins are included, why are you doing it as sacair and not your own. If you are have SOOOOOO much negativity then do your own thing. why make everyone else do what YOU want. You dont own sac air, why do you get to make all the decsions for it.
Nice reply! You know I would leave sacair if it wasn't for guys like you Kal. I hate to see this place go to hell because of guys like you. So thanks for the renewed energy!
