Gas shell comparisons

Anyone who has info on comparing different shells power please post up

All my stats are out of a Mosquito Molds Mini-launcher, which has no barrel. Because of that, the velocities I get will be lower than what people with long barreled M203's can get. (According to Sean from AEX anyways. He gave the speech when they let us use the PVC RPG's at Ord.)

awesome thanks, any info for prehaps a king arms 24 or 165 rd shell?

Well my friend has convinced me to get a m203 for my M4 and I am wondering about allot of this too.

My CAW 165 round nade shells have no problem with "green gas". Cain put a stronger O-ring in one of mine that got pinched though and the other has an OEM O-ring in it. Both work perfectly fine. Cain uses King Arms nades and runs green gas in his with no problems.

CA = lots of up-keep, i change the o-rings in mine about every other game...you need to do a lot to keep them suckers working, but CAW/MM is the best, CAW is undisputed best, KING ARMS = best bang for you buck i would grab a couple of those...as for 24 rounds or 165 rounds......who cares about the FPS on a nade shell? id go with 165 rounds, no worth it to shoot 24, as for range.......LEAF SIGHT...just like the real deal, you can just point your 203 at someone 50+ ft away and hope to get them, you gotta lob it alittle...

I've noticed I have more range/kick with my old beat up MM grenades compared to my CAW's.

So the MM will accept Green then too?
Dec 2, 2004 9:14am
Yes it will. But after awhile, the aluminum plunger and seat mar making it hard to reset the grenade. I use green gas in all my grenades (I've had every brand) and about the 10th fill in a MM I have to separate the halves just to set the plunger. If you want a reliable shell, spend the money and get a CAW. The CAW has an aluminum plunger with a steel seat. Although, I do have a King and haven't had any problems with it yet. I wouldn't even consider a CA if I were you.

yea i own a couple of CA's but they take alot, i mean alot to keep up on them, from changing out o-rings to fileing/smoothening of the plunger from being mar'd up -(refer to Ray's post above 4 up)

Dagger, I just ordered a bunch from www.poweredgeusa.com and they are just as cheap if not cheaper then japan or HK. They have the CAW 178 rounders for $75, 78's for $55 and 24's for $49. They are running a deal right now til december 20th that you get free shipping any where on the 50 states for any order over $50. So that would be $75 shipped for one from there.

Welp just got my order for nades from power edge... I ordered CAW 24rounder and 78rounder but for some odd reason they sent me a MM 78 rounder, oh well they still work fine with propane so I don't care. The o ring poped off of one of them already and took it apart, out came the bearings (what a mess!).

WoW!!! very cool and no doubt the best price around...period! I might have to spend 50+ bucks. lol
