when i try to burn a cd it says no CD burning device detected, which is BS because it let me burn CDs before I downloaded the last update =/

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall itunes? Doing so won't delete the music from your computer, as it's stored in a seperate folder itunes looks at for it's database of music.

run by Apple... on a pc.

I don't care. I know how to use a PC, and am used to it. I could master a Mac but it would take some time to getting used to.

I think the lesson here is Macintosh has officially sold out to the Microsoft ideal of software that a lot of people have that really sucks! In all honesty they used to be cool... different but, cool. No they run a Unix based operating system on Intel hardware. So what's the difference well the price for one! You can run Windows on Mac and you can even run Leopard on your PC now as long as the hardware you have is supported by OS X.

I beg to argue on the Itunes point. I used to be a hardcore pc owner up until febuary of last year. All of the CPU's I've owned up to my mac, the CD burner has crapped out on me failing to make any working CD, all after about a year of working correctly. Yet the drive read CDs and DVDs just fine. I tried everything from Itunes, WMP, WINAMP, Roxi's Toast and CD Creator and nothing worked. I beleive it to have more working features, and less system bugs than WMP, if thats the program your compairing it to.

also go into itunes preferences and change the format that it rips CDs to MP3 that way you can stop complaining about the MP4 format.

If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

ChADLy, still having problems? Have you tried to update or download the driver for the cd drive?
