NP man spray a degreaser in there like 409 or fast orange. Disassemble, clean, lube with a silicone based lube or break free CLP, reassemble, and use the rest of the WD40 for burning ants.

i work in a machineshop and i see people try to use lubes like that all the time, and what happens over time and heat is it hardens and makes it worse. and wd 40 is basically a dirt magnet and destroys things. id use that as a temp lube ONLY. so if i was you id take it all apart wipe it all off, and get some real stuff when you can. but thats just me.

use marker oil or dont be a cheap ass and buy some silicone spray from AEX

WD-40 is a penetrant, not a lubricant.
In close range combat, an unsuspecting melon will get the back of its melon blown off.
