I will always support the people that fight and at times die to secure my families freedom!!!!!!!
If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

I am printing that out and making my girlfriend read that. she is somewhat liberal and while a lot of the things that liberals and conservatives argue over i don't really care about (i said a lot not all so don't jump down my throat) the war in the middle east is something i agree with. she doesn't which is fine but maybe i can change her opinion (doubtful but worth a try)

- Saddam wasn't a threat to me or my family or any other citizen of the United States living in the United States. He was a bad person, but he, like most, was smart enough to know that attacking the U.S. is a death sentence. (Or wait... Osama got away with it, didn't he? Maybe attacking the U.S. doesn't always guarantee your death nowadays...)

That's a good article. It just kinda sucks that all the guys over there have to be so careful with all the ROE's. The terrorists know our system perfectly. If we attack some people that we know have weapons but they didn't fire at us first, the terrorists are on their cell phones to the news about how horrible American's are. Read the book "Lone Survivor" regardless of what your position is, it describes the situation over there by an intelligent participant if that is the correct term.

The term Zionist Banker, is and has been a code for calling out a "Jewish Banker" and is commonly used with the term ZOG or "Zionist Occupational Government" and is used by crack pots and Whitepower nuts since the 1980's.

Also, the term "Jihad" is often misused in our media, and also in this article.

Honestly, what a load of crap, it makes huge assumptions and rash generalizations and I could not agree more with Evo12. People who spew this nonsense are the ones who give conservative pro military people bad names and it just fuels the liberal’s fire to despise America and our troops even more. I whole-heartedly support our troops in all there endeavors, they are the ones who have fought and are fighting to gives us the ability to have free speech and openly debate such an article...even it sucks.

Interesting article. I think the article kind of wraps up all the rebels in Iraq as "Jihadis" rather than looking at what caused the resistance against the US to start in the first place. There are a wide variety of rebel groups in Iraq.

The troops are there fighting for a cause, the war is the means to achieve said cause.

If you signed up and you're all bitter that you have to go fight then you are just SOL cuz you knew better when you signed up. But thats the whole point... you knew better when you signed up so therefore you thought that the cause was worth doing be it defending America or fighting Islamic Crazies.
