Why gun control is crap
Do you support GUN CONTROL?
Excellent. I saw this same thing posted in another forum a week or two back. Thanks for posting it up.

while i might get a ton of flak for this, so be it.
Accurate information is absolutely essential. The thing that can be learned from what was posted by "Dev_Waht?!" is not just keeping the right to bear arms, but the responsibility of being informed and unified. The NRA does some of the job, but only as far as keeping up with gun rights legislation. The citizenry of our country has lost the awareness of the great gift of democracy and the great cost of keeping it. There is a core of people that do have the awareness, but it's a shrinking core.

true, but we shoudl be providing people with current and accurate information. Half truths and leaving stuff out looks like we are hding something or out right lying. Also Shock and awe tactics dont work. Scaring poeple doesnt work. it just makes them afraid. Education 1 person at a time is sadly the only successful way to do it...
I don't support gun control but its not gun control that is responsible for all those deaths. I agree with kalthrax.
In response to Kal and Bordicon.
If those 'unarmed' who were 'rounded up and exterminated' had been armed, I have a feeling they would have just stopped the 'rounded up' part, but the extermination still probably would've happened, since relatively large, coordinated forces were behind some of those genocides. [Now, if those groups had coordinated amongst themselves and had been armed, that might be a different story...]
Gun control is not Crime control.
The problem with Gun Control is simple. Gun Control laws only keep guns out of the hands of honest people.

Let me toss a few more points in. The number of good people on the planet at present or future is not fixed. Neither is the number of bad people. Criminal behavior is undertaken when the person thinks he/she can get away with it. There must be the attraction and motivation toward law abiding behavior more than the certainty of punishment for bad behavior. That's why an armed populace helps everyone abide the law better. Simplistic, but trying to keep it short.

Magnetic drug-sniffing dogs :P
i posted that in a different forum and got this
âI believe that the sound of racking the pump of a shotgun is universally recognized as âkiss your ass goodbyeâ.â
If you are going to post factual information you need to site your sources. If you are going to borrow text from another forum you need to site the forum.

Gun control is a loaded weapon and good aim. :D
-insert failed attempt of something funny here-
I'm against gun control, but this article just makes anti-gun control people look ignorant. The statement "unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated" is an extreme statement, way too generalized, and by using it over and over, all you're going to do is make even people who agree think you're being stupid. Imagine what people who disagree will think.
I used to work in a bank... USED TO... apparently they don't like it when you take home samples.

Well boys and girls now we get to see what is what. The US Supreme Court, starts on DCvsHeller tomorrow. Lower courts have all ready decided that the right to bear arms is an individual right. No the big boys in the black robes get to decide weather that is the case or not. This court decision will have a MAJOR affect on gun control EITHER way it goes.

Just watched CNN, the recordings they played of the judges seemed to be to the point of allowing people to own weapons.

What would happen if the courts did try to take away everyones legally owned guns.
