Sportline problems!!

Mar 18, 2008 12:36am
Ok so I just got my Sportline M15 carbine, and I quick charged the battery, and then took it out. I wasn't able to get a single shot out of it, and it seems like the the gearbox locked up. I can hear the motor trying to turn, and it makes a little noise when I pull the trigger, but there's no gearbox movement. I can see the the piston is locked back, and isn't moving.

Also, when I tried firing the gun with the battery in, the battery got relatively hot very quickly. Don't know if thats of any significance, but it didn't seem normal to me.

It sounds like the battery. Thats what happens when my battery starts to poop out. Just charge it normally. And try it again. If it continues to be a problem just take it back where you got it.

more likely than not, its the motor they have. they are reports of the motor crapping out when new on the sportlines. bring it back to aex and they can give you a dif gun.

Damn sorry to hear that.I don't know but in airsoft is there like a sold as is? But yeah i would contact him and see what he says. At the best he can help you get the parts or let you know whats up. Or at the worst just take to AEX and i am pretty sure they could fix it. But either way lookls like you may end up having to pay more than you expected.

Thi is hapening to a friend of mine his battery gets reallly hot and his gun does not shoot he just recently got a 400 Fps upgrade so my opinion is that the spring is to much for the gun (on my friends gun) but if it is something else let me know he has a full metel CA M4 that is about 2 years old now. Thanks

Have you ever tried using a high powered battery. I mean a battery 8.4V or 9.6V with a high mah and high discharge rate. Your battery might not be able to take the new upgrades.

So I got it to work. I let the battery just keep on charging, and I pulled the motor out, and tested it again. I put it back in, and got it working. Then I adjusted the motor height, and its been running no problem since then. We'll see if it stays that way.
