Ok I just downloaded version 2.8.3 last night, and everytime i try to join a server this pops up, and im exited from the game completley.

Make sure your drivers are updated first, if not try searching it on google =P

I had the same problem at my friends house, he deleted the files and downloaded it again and it was fine. Good luck.

I know... I hate that... it sucks... stupid huge file...

It has something to do with Punkbuster as I've read from the error code. The problem is supposed to be solved by allowing your firewall and virus protection to allow access from that vendor (Punkbuster). I've yet to try that myself so I cannot verify that for you as of yet. Let me know if that is the case if you try it before me.

I'm not a computer expert, my basic computer skills is equal to that of a 10 year old, so how would you do that?

Collage Almanac Version: Punkbuster is a third party client that AA uses to keep people from using hacks, bots or other cheating software to give that cheater an undeserved upper hand. It openly scans for such hardware by the client (you) checking the "Punkbuster on" box in the server interface. The server that you go to most likely requires Punkbuster protection, therefore the software searches for those items and if found, kicks and reports you to the PB database. However, if it finds nothing, it clears you for play. In your case, it didn't automaticly open access through your firewall or virus security, like it used to in earlier versions. That pretty much means that we (I say WE because I don't know either) need to go to either www.punkbuster.com or www.americasarmy.com/support and see if we can get some info as to exactly how to do that.

I also found that there is a 64 mb patch available. America's Army: Special Forces (Overmatch) v2.8.3 to v2.8.3.1. Maybe that is causing our issues. Probably why we got those issues. I just downloaded the v2.8.3. last week. The new patch came out on the 25. I'll let you know if it solves my issue.

It doesn't solve anything, i've already got the V2.8.3.1 patch into it thinking the same thing.

HOOOO BOOOOY! Ya went and done it now! You just went fartin around and got your PC crashed up to no return.........Unless of course you Right click on your "My Computer" icon (found if not on your desktop then in startup), choose "Properties", click the "hardware" tab, click "device manager", choose "Display Adapters" and see if your video card is listed there. If the VC is physically in your PC, then it should be listed there. If it is there, just right click on it and choose enable. If it doesn't enable then right click your VC and choose "Update Driver". It all should go autopilot and VIOLA! Ya got yer video back.

As for the getting to play in the game, I seem to be in like Flynn (who the hell is Flynn anyway?). Once I installed the patch, it seems to be working. I went to 3 different servers with no error notices. So i don't know what's up with yours. I hope the rest helped.
