I was curious as to why it says 798mh and how it remains the same during gameplay or intense applications. It used to say 2.0gh, 2.0gh in windows.

Check in your power settings (same tab as where you change your screen saver) and see if you set it to low power. Like Kalthrax was getting at, either you set it to the lowest stepping in cpufrequtils OR you set your computer to the lowest power setting and its using the lowest possible stepping to conserve power.
