Ive done it before. We just had to make a small scale one, so I just got a shoe box and took off the front and the top to make a stage kinda. I got r sand paper and used that for sand and made paper mache bunkers for the atlantic wall. I added alot of small details too like a tide and fox holes and random stuff laying around too.

Don't forget to show the shermans at the bottom of the channel, teller mines, hedge hogs, rolling barrage, and beached destoyers.

The tank obstacles are colled hedge hogs and teller mines (the telephone poles placed at an angle with a mine attached at the end so if landing craft hit at high tide they'd be blown sky high. Saving private ryan did a very good job at depicting Omaha (in regards to historical accuracy considering a feat such as that could never be depicted except in the minds for those that were there.)

Tide was too high. Most of that stuff was under water.
