Yeah that seems right. if you want over 500 in a gspec you need the piston and a TB. i would also recommend the teflon cylinder with laylax cylinder head. then you will shoot over 500 no problem with a 150
well i got a DBC barrel coming in which is kinda nice :)

You know man, I dont think this is your problem. But I had a 170 in my stock cylinder and it just broke into two peices(the cylinder). Im getting a teflon cylinder. It is a big reccomendation, especially if your going to get a heavier spring someday. And if your looking for more fps, then just spend the 15 or 20 bucks on a 170 or even a 190 spring. Youll be shootin PRETTY DARN fast. Except to shoot those springs, you do need the teflon cylinder and upgraded sears(or the zero trigger setup). Without them, they will wear away your gun fast.

crap it seems im out of luck with the vsr g-spec now i got a neo piston and a telfon cylinder and when i pull back the bold it pulls fine but when i push it in you have to put sum effort to do it its not a smooth push in. i do have it lubed i even tried the old cylinder and same thing. let me know if anyone knows a fix for this

you might have the threading of sight rail or the screw on the bottom that holds the barrel putting pressure on the cylinder. check that and see if that helps.
i have tried all kinda ways with the barrel with out the barrel with the stock and with out the stock and still nothing i even read a site were one guy said that this might be caused by the spring stoper not aligning the spring guide right inside the cylinder and cause the piston to be pushed kinda at an angle and when you push the bolt back it makes to much friction so i even grinded the spring stoper to have sum movement and still nothing.

this belongs in the Gun-Tech area
Mine does that too! It will pull fine and when I push forward it slams forward. I heard a new sear would help! IDK! It might work!
