Someone just posted a very good question. What is allowed as a pistol and what sort of engagement in regards to full auto?

As sacair stands today I also vote no full auto under 25 ft. My reason for this is the risk of losing an eye or teeth . It makes gas smgs pretty useless but it would be folly to assume every Sacair member has the common sense to safely control FA in close. On another topic...that somewhat ties in I would feel much better about it if we did away with this "safety glasses are safe" BS. They should be banned. Any eye wear that does not FULLY seal off the eye socket from any and all outside intrusions is not fit to wear while playing! Proper eye wear should also have a tight strap around the head that will keep it in place in any event. It is very easy for a set of shooting glasses or the like to slip down the nose or worse while running, hitting a bunker or any other high speed movement. It only takes 6mm of movement to create a problem. I will make a separate thread for the discussion of eyewear but I wanted to included it in this post since I find the interests are linked

i agree with andrew. I do not agree about eyewear. While larger groupd and feilds have this as their mainline for insurance purposes, untill we are a full bodied organization, i feel we ahve no buiessness enforeing this rule. DO i think full seal goggles are important, absolutly, do i feel we should make adults on public land, who take responsablity for thier own actions, playing a game wear them NO. I think we hsould do spot checks on the glass as i have seen people wearing regular sunglasses out there, but i do not feel we shoudl enfore a "sealed goggle" rule. Maybe if the person playing is under 18 but that woud still be thiers or the parents choice. Sacair is not a sueable entity and should stay that way. We do not need to police eyeware except for the basics. Whats next bio only bb's?

IMO anything under 25 feet should be semi auto only...if you're that close, you shouldn't have to full auto..regardless of how hard your gun is shooting or the type of airsoft gun you have GBB/AEP...

does that mean a chrono limit on pistols? i mean we all know some pistol fire 250 some fire 350 if not more

There are gas pistols that shoot over 400 FPS...
