VSR Question

Apr 11, 2008 1:46pm
Well i just got a pss10 190 spring for my vsr. It is shooting REALLY good. And I have the upgraded sears and the teflon cylinder(before someone tells me thats my problem). Well i was shooting it around my backyard and all of the sudden it got really hard to pull. It was easy to pull most of the way, but i couldnt get it to load(or lock :?). Its not just my arm strength, its gotta be something with the gun. I took it apart and nothing seems to be broken. Im gonna try to put the 170 back in, but does anyone have any idea what it could be?

sears are most likely broken, that or the spring guide is broken. Bad idea running a 190 with stock trigger, going to want a laylax zero trigger as well as a laylax cylinder head to cope with the power of cocking it

I think if you upgraded he trigger sears the stock trigger assembly should be ok (for a while)

I sold him the gun and there are upgraded sears a laylax cylinder head and a laylax spring guide although it unscrews very easily I saw.(thats probibly the problem)

It was the spring guide. But my new question is how strong is a teflon cylinder. My 190 is chewing my hand up its so powerful, and i dont want the cylinder to break like the stock one.

you may be loosing compression for some reason try putting a neo piston in and see if that helps.

do u play in games if so you really dont need any thing above a 170 and with a 170 your cylinder will be fine. thats my thought i just installed a 170 and its plenty for a games. :)

Ya, the 190 is just too much. Something is always rattling loose. And it gets really tiring pulling it back. But I have a Mosquito Molds piston in it. I had that plus a 170 with a stock cylinder and I was getting something like 510, but I heard I could be getting more. Does the teflon cylinder get any more fps?

well the teflon cylinder is a lot better for the bolt pull first of all also i noticed bettter accuracy. but it is stronger than the stock cylinder. from what i can tell you have a air leak problem first try the hopup bucking teflon mod if its not upgraded it need to be with ether NineBall or FireFly bucking anything over 400 requires upgraded bucking. You may need to switch out the o-ring with the stock piston o-ring then test comprestion with your hand by covering the end and moving the piston up and down in the cylinder. also do you have an upgraded barrel in you setup???? its good for the accuracy big time. oh also make sure you teflon the cylinder head if you have a stock cylinder cause i noticed air will escape through the hole that is in the cylinder head for the pin drill out. hope this helps. :)

Well, I have an upgraded barrel, firefly hopup bucking, laylax cylinder head, and of course the teflon cylinder. So for that part I should be alright. But that's what ill do. I mean ill throw the 170 back in. I dont think its getting good compression. Ill try some different o rings.
