He was heavily under the influence. To the point of where he was going to die from an overdose whether or not he did not die from the gunshots, and the Officer didn't tell me where he shot him. It was more of a lesson of don't be afraid to use force when called for, and to some crazy extents of having to use A LOT of force.

I've never shot a person or shot at a person, but if I want someone down....
obviously you dont know him.

Rifle caliber and pistol caliber needs to be separated a bit in a discussion of this nature dude. Especially in the application of the two.

Its just a lucky guy, thats all. Watch the First 48 and see how many people die from a single 9mm, .38, .22, .25 round to the chest. The VAST MAJORITY of rounds fired by police at suspects MISS. Does this mean they are bad shots, NO (although some super studs might think so). It just means when the poo hits the fan, people miss, stuff happens. You shoot for center mass, but like the video shows it might not stop a man...so go with the bigger caliber cause IT WILL CAUSE MORE DAMAGE.
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?

You can cause all the damage you want, But if you don't hit a vital area, hes walking to the ambulance. Or hes still holding the weapon...

Yes you want to hit a vital organ, that goes without saying. But which round has more material to expand and create a mushroom that is going to do all that damage? Which round has more FPS? What is the chance of hitting a vital organ at 15yards, 25 yards, 30 yards etc etc.
Lets say we are not all super shooters, and you manage to hit someone in the shoulder. A .45 is going to to MORE damage then a 9mm and if it is that difference of damage that stops that person from continuing...WIN..
I do shoot a 9 more accurately out to farther distances though

Really? Why?

Recoil, or the perception of it. its probably more mental than anything. I would probably think weight plays a factor as well when it comes to shooting at farther distances for a prolonged period of time. My accuracy with both is probably the same but I can regain my sight picture much faster with the 9 because of the lack of recoil.

I have never had to shoot anyone but I can tell you form experince people under the influence are much different than others. I have had my ass almost whooped more than once form guys on meth. The guy in the video was mostly on something. Andrew dont forgot you hit an area such as the Arorta and in about 3 seconds they will bleed out, the Arorta Arch is right behind the stomach. Not as effective as the head or heart shot but it will win. However I do agree that shot placement is key. If you hit a guy in the ankle or the forearm your going to have alot more troubles brining him down if yo udont hit center mass or other vitals.

A hit with a .22lr is better than 6 misses with a .44 magnum. :)

last bit of the video is interesting
