my stock orange flash hider is broke on my m15 so i tried unscrewing it to replace but it wont budge.
Take out grub screw on bottom.
their is a small Allen ranch you'll need to unscrew to lossen the flash hider therefore allowing you to screw off.
where are you in roseville i can do it for you?
I've never seen a plastic orange flash hider with a grub screw.

I was assuming a Proline M15 :x
well, if the flash hider is not completely broken, i.e. there are still slots that are intact on either side of the f.hider, what I found worked best is to use a screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver through two slots that are opposite each other. Then, grasp the screwdriver as you would a wine bottle opener, turn right to loosen (ccw threads as everyone else has said), and it should come off a little easier than with pliers. At least this way you can apply more leverage. I found on my sportline that the orange tip was or had some sort of glue/epoxy on there, presumably to keep you from taking it off (making it more permanent)

If a lighter doesnt work, try a pot of simmering water. Helps raise the temperature more evenly than just a lighter.
