I have an Red Dot and i went into AEX a while back and asked them what company it was and the guy said he didnt know but to do a search on the trademarks on the side, and this is what came up.

i got it out of a trade a while back, came with a gun, but ya as someone said earlier it only has 5 brightness settings, but when new batteries the dot is very crisp.

mount it on a Real steel rifle, fire it and see if it's still zero'd lol

It's not bad looking, but it's a fake. The white lettering and the serial number 240944 are the first giveaways. Searched around for a minute and found some information on it. Here's a thread on AR15.com on how to spot a fake Aimpoint.
