airsoft field suggestions
anybody know of a site where there are good ideas for different sized fields and what kind of materials are good. I am asking because my employer may let me use the site at night for airsofting but I want to be able to produce something to them with what would be used and what size area is used. The materials need to be basic materials one could pick up at THD(home depot) and the size for the place is either 124k sq. ft(inside) and 24k sq. ft (outside) thanks guys

The contest for the most confusing post ever is finally over.
Size really depends on the amount of players you plan on having. is it a wooded area or urban? how many players will they let you bring in?
Im guessing your talking about a Huge Warehouse since you say 124k Inside?
Play real CQB.... Use natural building cover....
Ray's got the MOVES!
yes it is a warehouse, the outside could easily be converted to jungle with plants, there is a nursery next door that said they would lend plants for this purpose. inside it is not empty, it already is full, this place is open during the day so night games can be done outside and so far I have about 10-15 people lined up that would play but I am thinking 30+ is not out of the question. the playing will only be done at night after hours. The only problem with the inside is the liability and the BBs left on the ground(I dont think things will get damaged). People used to play paintball at this place like a year ago, they would put sheets up in the bays to protect the merchandise. I appreciate the help guys, I have to pitch something to management next week, I just wanna be ready.

I'd be down for some indoor CQB nightgames.
I have played at a place in LA that does this. Its called the zipper factory. During the day they make zippers, and attach them to strips of cloth. The cloth is stored in boxes in colums and rows that helps to acheive a CQB atmosphere. However all the machines and materials are not able to be damaged by BB's. That is first and foremost, make sure the BB's won't damage anything in there. Then you have to worry about dudes like HunterX who might do a tuck and roll into a machine...or Ronnie kicking down doors while having flashbacks of ORD. So long as there aren't breakables there you should be fine.
that post was me...lol

Another consideration is to get the managment to prewarn the people that view the security camera footage about us. I can just see a B.A.T.F. van pulling up while we're playing and all of us end up dead.
I'm in, Mr. Bing. AND I'd be willing to help sweep up after every game. I've been dying for a real CQB facility to play in.
Imagine if this turned out to be better than the Fort Ord stockades!!! God, I'm all giddy now.
ok, the only time this would happen is on saturday nights, sun-fri there is a night crew(will kinda ruin things :) ) According to the many managers interested it would NOT happen inside due to stray BBs and possible breakage of items(I know away around this but it would require some volunteers for time and effort)

and to be honest I totally forgot about the thread, if that happens again do not hesitate to PM (i do read those)

I wouldn't have a problem with showing up a little early to deploy tarps around the fragile mechandise.
I checked out the aerial photo, and that perspective changes things big time, doesnt look like enough room to me. I am still trying to pursue inside since people are willing to setup and clean-up afterwards, I appreciate all the help so far.

Any new info? Given any more though to introducing the manager to the Sacair admins?
only new info is that it would happen inside, and they added a sat night crew of like 2 people, also the manager interested in this doesnt like me anymore, oops. we got like 3 new managers so I get to start the process all over. would everyone be willing to pay a few bucks(like $3-5) to play as well as still volunteering for clean up??

id pay like 10 to play and still help sweep bbs for like 20 min or something for good close(in sac) CQB
Hey Bing..........People will pay the 3-5 bucks to play in Sac. I'm sure it would only take 10 minutes to clean things up after a game if everyone would pitch in. I hope this thing goes through....sure would be nice. :D

The question isn't who is willing to clean up... Because back when we first started playing at the Yuba CQB Rock factory, everyone was willing to clean it up, but only about 3-5 of the 20 who showed up actually did anything.... I'd pay up to $5-30 depending on the type of CQB it is...
$5 bucks a game would not be a big deal at all. We spend more than that in gas just going from Sac to Yuba and back to play at the CQB building.
Sounds like it would be fun... If you get everything worked out I would be willing to join in...

So Mr. Bing, how are things going with the managers? Would a cheese basket or something help tilt them towards our side?
