Any AEG shoot 400fps out of box??
I'm thinking of getting an AEG, but i dont want to have to upgrade it or anything so i was wondering if there are any AEGs that shoots 350-400 fps out of the box, or do i have to upgrade in order to get that kind of speed. thanks.
The old CA M4 shoots 380 out of box(not worth the money)

no, and you dont need 400damn fps.. get a M100, bushings and tightbore. Gave my G36c like 375fps without the stress of a M120 on the gun.

The new armalites that they have are supposed to be very good and reliable according to countless people and that's why I actually am in the process of getting one. Don't make generalizations without giving specifics to back it up.

if you have the money get a m15a4 spc or m15a4 ris. its well worth the money.

xyclos, I'm sure you're speaking from experience but that doesn't change the fact that you still generalizing. Lots of people have said that the new m15a4 series is really good. I know they have had problems in the past with their mp5s and m4s but I don't know if its completely fair to just condemn their entire lineup, especially when the m15a4s have earned a lot of praise. But whatever. I don't want to start a flame war or anything. I'm just a "feisty kid" after all :wink:

i owned a m15a4 spc and a TM will never beat it in quality. all the things that used to be messed up on the V3 CAs have been fixed on the V4s. I know of one m15a4 carbine that has a messed up feeding nipple, but the SPCs and RISs both come with metal hop ups. I am talking from experience owning, upgrading and just messing around with all these models. I really think you should check one out for yourself xyclos... there really great/quality guns.

ok i'm contemplating between an upgraded mp5 ICS gun, the mp5sd5, which can shoot 350 fps out of the box wih battery and charger for $330 or a TM ak-47 or car-15, which shoot around 280 fps i believe, and come with battery and charger for around the same price. which one is a better deal and are those prices even a good deal? thanks

I've read mixed reviews abou the ics/ae mp5s. However, most of the bad reviews came from ics mp5s that were prior to version 3. Same deal with Classic Army guns I guess. The new versions (i think v 3.5) might be worth looking into, the old ones "suck the bunghole". As for 330 for a car15 or an ak47 (well it depends if they're giving you a good charger or not), I've found a lot better than that. You just gotta look. Check the ASR forums or maybe hong kong sites. If you wan in USA dealers look at combatdepot.com. Actually, email these guys from Fortress Hobby in sacto: fortresshobby@yahoo.com. Ask them the prices for an ak or a car15. They'll hook you up. Pay em in cash and there's no tax haha. Um check http://www.onlybatterypacks.com for batteries or even Gonzo's on airsoftplayers.com. Getting stuff from different places might be a pain but you'll save money in the end. Hope that helps?

oh i forgot. if you want to get your TM gun upgraded, be sure to set aside about 30 for a set of bushings and spring. And another 30 or so if you want a systema tightbore. don't spend money on install, there are plenty of people on the forums that can walk you through it.

I have owned 2 classic army guns. The old M4 that was not worth a dime and a new M15RIS. The new gun is solid and works with no flaws. I pre ordered mine and have had it for some time now and to date it still is the best stock gun I own,and the only one I intend on leaving stock at 330fps. ( Yes I have tried a few, I curintly have 9 guns not counting pistols. and have sold several others)
I have an ICS v 2 mp5 and you dont want it. From what i remember i think that its in pieces at my other apt. The cutoff lever will break the first time you shoot the gun, so you will only get full auto, its underpowered, the wires are brittle and will break easily, the list goes on and on. Get Tm if you are new at this. If you know your way around the gearbox and can solve about 80 percent of the problems that happen inside the gearbox, then go for the cheaper alternatives. Other than that, just save yourself the headache.
