Tanio Koba twist barrel?
I've been researching TB barrels and I came accross this barrel.Not sure who has seen or heard of it but it's made by the same company that has those sick gas blowback m4's.I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it and if it's any good?It should be good for that price.
Airsoft guns are not real guns. There for a barrel like that would not help much. In real guns the bullet is pretty tight against the barrel wall. In airsoft barrel we are dealing with a almost perfect round BB smooth bore will work better.

gewd for low FPS applications (<350). bad for high.

snookles must clarify that a bit more. A good barrel is one that is machined well and isn't bent or warped.

Tk barrels don't "twist" or spin the bbs...they spin the air around the BB to keep the bb from "boucing" in the barrel.

I guess they are hit and miss. I had one a couple of years ago. It dropped the FPS and range so much that I didnt really care how much more accurate it could have made the AEG.

thats a horrible barrel dont get it...
I pretty sure I recall a rather low fps limit for this "cushioning" effect to still work as, Japan airsofters are limited to 1J it makes sense.

I'll be picking up an AK47 barrel for my Grail clone next month. I'll test the crap out of it and report back.
The barrel isn't as bad as everyone says it is. It's also not the best either. As for it being for only 350 and lower that's highly debatable. As I see it the grooves are grooves regardless of FPS more or less it shouldn't really make a difference. The problem most likely is a result of QC as machining such can only be so precise and so clean. The one thing I found about these barrels is that BB's, hopup rubber and keeping the barrel clean is more important than any other barrels.
