Systema drop-in gearbox, won't fire.

May 24, 2008 11:06pm
Hello, well basically I have a systema 150 (replaced with 120) gearbox with systema magnum motor. I used it at a game and the gun completely stopped firing. No clicking nosies, no bb jams, no problems with motor wiring nor battery problems.

Re-charge the battery.

maybe the motor connectors came off

checked the motor plugs, and installed back in correctly. And uhm the systema drop in gear box doesnt come with a damn fuse. -_- and btw lots of ppl don't have fuses for their guns and they work perfectly fine. Oh for everybody's information, the gun was firing, then just stopped out of nowhere.

check all the connection to the wires. if not its your motor or you might have to take apart the GB. also how is the trigger pull?

Open up the gearbox and check the little cast metal piece which is raised and sits between the sector gear and the trigger contact. This piece is supposed to keep the trigger contact from moving too far back. If you open your box up and there is nothing between the sector gear and the trigger contact, it broke off and is allowing your trigger contact to fall too far back, off the track and off the trigger itself. In the last year or two I have seen at least 5 of these break in new gearboxes.

uhm, i put the existing systema magnum motor in another gun and it works just fine, so minus the motor, and yes. Maybe the GB. I will take it apart and see from there. :[

ohm out your leads while pulling the trigger. If you're getting an OL then you're not closing the circuit. Check that the 2 tabs on the side of the gear box is making contact with the selector plate. Then if that's not the case then you'll have to open up your gearbox.

Is it the gearbox with the pre-installed mosfet?

yeah it is, but the mosfet was taken off because of a replacement of a G&P crane stock and wouldn't fit. Taken the gearbox out, and the trigger contacts are intact and not burned out. So i'm guessing open up the gearbox now? :[ sigh*

If you don't have any friends that are confidently able to make the repair, any AEX store can do it.
