what's up guys? I've been pondering the thought of purchasing a Thompson... I think this is the sexiest gun ever invented (or, at least, before the seventies came along). But anywho, I don't have that much money, and wanted to make sure it's a worthy investment. Anyone have any input or comments on one? Annnnnnnnd, any place local carry them? Thanks.

its the most solid stock gun on the market. I have one and love it .

go down to AEX and check out the one they have on the wall. Make sure you handle some beofre you buy, the stock feels odd to most people and the long mags make it hard to crawl
every single airsoft gun is off on weight to real steel pretty much... TM line up atleast.....
yeah... that makes sense. Besides, weight isn't that critical to me in the first place... it's just a hella hot gun. Anywho, first of all, I really realy want the thompson, and second of all, with a "third world country" gun, I could play both good guy and bad guy! Yeahya. buddy of mine has one, alex, somehow it snapped(i think his little brother dropped it) right forward of the mag area.... that spot is prone to breaking on the tommies i think, I saw somewhere some customa made reinforced ones but they were like $200+ or something for a barrel alone.... Its cause its some type of shoddy pot metal.
its about 340 bucks shpied with a 8.4 1700 MAh batt with it.
hmmmmmmmmm.... how easily did it snap? That kinda worries me.. lol. Is it really really weak?

i have had two and it did not snap, like anything else treat it with respect and it wont fuck you over

lots of guns are off from the real steel vers. arent some airsoft guns heavier than the real thing?

we dont know how it snapped but he leaves it high up in his closet and his 2 little bros we think stood on a chair to get it and it fell or something, its not going to snap easily. but is possible with a drop like all the other guns though.
