Transporting airsoft guns on an airline
If a minor lives out of state and wants to bring his airsoft gun into Cali on an airline (as checked baggage of course) what would he have to have in place for it to be hassle free?
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.
He would need to check with the particular airline he is flying with, as their rules varry. I'd assume they would treat it like he was transporting a real firearm, since I doubt they have too much expericne with airsoft.
In close range combat, an unsuspecting melon will get the back of its melon blown off.
Do you know what airlines he's flying in on?
either tell them he's transporting firearms or replica fireamrs
Just tell him to ship it ups. Its not that bad and will avoid all problems.
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?

I would think to have the battery with the gun to kinda show that it isnt real. Personally, I would take it down to the point where the gearbox is showing to prove that it is not real.
or you can just say i have a toy gun...can it go on the plane?
you can pay for school but you cant buy class
Checked in luggage.

Then I have a question...
if you wind up shipping your guns your going to spend a LOT of money doing so
Yeah, I had to put in quite a bit of money to get both my guns from HK to here... shipped noless...
when we moved back to the states from Germany, my dad had some guns in a gun safe that we going on the plane. He told them ahead of time and still, before the plane took off, they called him to security and got all upset saying "Do you know what is in this?!"... His response: "Yeah. Its a gun safe. There are guns in it. That's why I told you that ahead of time." after near an hour of stupidity, they finally loaded it in the plane and let him go... hope you don't run into stupidity! ^_^
I used to work in a bank... USED TO... apparently they don't like it when you take home samples.

+ 1 on that, it is a good way to get their earlier. I usually arrive eariler to get a better seats and shorter lines. In case if anything happen, there is that 2-3 hours period to solve the problem
True it is good to show up to the airport a couple hours early but after your done with everything(check tickets, bags, security clearance)you only have about 30 minutes to relax. If they call you down to the security office about your gun you will most likly miss your flight.Just my opinon but either way you will get your gun to your destination.Does TSA have insurance?I'm sure they do I just wanted to make sure.
Last year I arrived at the airport in Vegas for my flight back to sac 15 mins before my flight. I couldnt check my luggage and I was screwed but security bumped me through a line of 100+ people so I made my flight....although i ended up sitting on the runway for 30 mins. woo hoo

If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.
Alright, gun and person got here safe and sound.
