I'm thinking about getting an M733. What are the ups and downns of this gun? I love short barrels so I don't need anyone telling me to get an M4 instead.

The ups are that there are all the same internal upgrades as the M-4. Bad thing is that it is impossible to get any of the external upgrades like m203's or RIS

As far as shooting goes, its a great gun. I haven't had any problems until today when I installed a new inner barrel. This gun is great stock. Compared to other tm guns, I have only shot the G36C, P90 and Aug, and they all shoot about the same stock.

unless there is some conspiracy going on, all TM AEGs shoot roughly 280 out of the box.
The M733 is a real steel replica. Nomenclatures...
The M733 has a one piece outer barrel that makes it really strong, no barrel wobble.

yea you gotta be carefull when switching barrels.. the little rubber nub that pushes down on the bbs can fall out. I installed an m16 tightbore in my bro's m733.. no problems.
I think thats my problem. When it was being installed at Fortress, I think it fell out and no one noticed. Oh well. m733 is a great gun all around. The only problems I have had were cause I messed up something myself, not cause the gun has some flaws in the design.
