Anybody tried moving the battery out of the stock of their scar and mounting it in a PEQ box or anything else?
It's probably going to be the same as the m4's, since it's a scar...
chicksdigSCARS, It'll take a bit of work. First thing is making a harness that will plug in to the mini plug coming out of the back of the gearbox. That harness needs to go all the way to the front, and we'd need to figure out a way to put a non-haggard looking hole to get the plug out of there. I'd be down to try it. 8)
I have been able to rewire a scar to accept a crane stock and also have attached a guarder external battery pouch to accept a large battery. Did you just want a bigger battery or did you want the wiring in the front?
well, kinda both. I want a bigger battery & I want it out of the stock cuz it's a pain to change/charge.
When you stop by we can attach a peq2 with a battery inside so you can see what the weight will be like.

Yea, it is a pain to change the battery. You can mount a guarder external battery pouch on the side of the stock and run the wires thru the cheek piece. I used to run mine on a 9.6v 4200mah battery with the pouch on the side. All you have to do is take the battery out of the the pouch to charge it. Now I run mine on a mini LiPo. The battery lasts about 8,000rds with a M120. I would recommend a LiPo as long as you upgrade the gears, piston, tappet plate, and a M120+.
