I have a CA M15a4 looks closer to an M16. I have never removed a barrel and I don't know how at all actually. I know how to drive to AEX, but not remove a barrel. I have removed the plactic covers. So whats my next step? Is there anything to unscrew, push, tap, pull?
Remove the front grip "holder" that attaches to the front sight. remove that. Remove the flash hider if you haven't already. Take a nail punch or some other small rod and hammer the two pegs out that keep the front sight in place. Now, either useing a Delta tool or Large Plyiers, remove the delta ring SLOWLY. You don't want to strip threads or crack the upper receiver. Ones the Delta is removed, a small allen nut keepts the barrel in place. Remove that and slide off the barrel.

Hmm...so you're telling me a simple screwdriver won't do the trick. Well since I'm already coming to AEX tomorrow I guess bringing in one more gun won't hurt. I'm used to bringing in 4 at a time anyway. :D
